Caring for those in our community

This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  (John 15:12)

St. Mary's is a community in which our members truly show love for one another.  We enjoy fellowship together at our "Second Sunday" potluck lunches each month, Advent Progressive Supper, Epiphany Parish Dinner, Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Mother's Day Brunch, Father's Day Lunch, monthly women's gatherings, and parish breakfasts, as well as at other times throughout the year.

Our congregation shows hospitality to those in the larger community at our annual our annual Bayou Feast, a delicious seafood dinner anticipated by folks in Andalusia each August.

Expectant parents and engaged couples are honored at parish showers.  Clergy and lay eucharistic visitors take communion to those who cannot attend worship at the church.  Meals are shared with families who are experiencing illness or grief.  We have an active prayer ministry and give prayer shawls, made by our parish members, as a reminder of our prayers to those who have a need.

Our aim is to follow Jesus' commandment to love one another.
